Creative Play Preschool

The Valley YMCA Creative Play Preschool offers an environment that supports children's natural desires and ability to learn. Our philosophy is that a child learns through play. Our teachers will shape your child's learning by participating in their play and asking questions that encourage them to think. Learning is also promoted by providing materials and themes that are interesting and challenging. When children are encouraged to explore and discover their curiosity is heightened and they are motivated to learn more. Our centers of interest include blocks, house corner, table toys, art, sand and water, library, music and movement, cooking and computers. Our program also offers swimming lessons, physical education, field trips, and provides a nutritious snack each day (offering a allergy awareness - peanut free environment). We have specific goals for the learning of literacy, mathematics, science and social studies that will be achieved as children play in each interest area in the classroom. Our facility includes a gymnasium, 6 lane, 25 yard swimming pool and outdoor playscape. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class size is limited so programs fill quickly. 

Lunch Bunch Kids

Extend your Care for an additional hour.

Morning and afternoon Creative Play Preschool children can participate in our Lunch Bunch Kids program that takes place Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Parents should pack a nutritious lunch for their kids. (No peanuts please - we are a peanut free program).
